Meet Steve

Steve Sarowitz is Founder and Chairman of Paylocity (Nasdaq: PCTY), a leading U.S. provider of payroll and HR solutions. Steve serves as Director of Payescape, a UK payroll provider, and Co-Chairman of Wayfarer Entertainment. Steve is also a partner and board member of Eved, an AP and Payments Platform for Events, Media and Entertainment. 

Steve was the Executive Producer for the award-winning documentary Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise and The Gate: Dawn of the Bahai Faith. Through Wayfarer Studios, he produced Clouds, which was recently named one of the best movies on Disney+. Wayfarer is currently in production on several more movies, included ‘Inappropriate Behavior’ with Robert Deniro. 

Steve is an international philanthropist with an interest in promoting unity through universal education and advocating for the elimination of racism, sexism, nationalism and religious prejudice. He has given presentations about peace and unity at several universities, as well as the Parliament of the World’s Religions and at the UN International Day of Peace in Belfast. 

Steve serves on the board of NCAT, an organization that builds state-of-the art training centers in urban areas. Steve is married with 2 children and is an avid runner who has been inducted into the Chicago Area Runners Association Hall of Fame. Steve was named to the Forbes 400 List of America’s wealthiest people in 2021 and 2022 and is listed by Forbes as having a current net worth of $3.4 billion.
